TEXAS TEENAGERS VIE FOR MISS TEXAS TEEN USA TITLE
The prestigious MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® 2016 pageant will take place on Sunday, November 29th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel, (2001 Post Oak Blvd., Houston). Chloe Kembel, the reigning MISS TEXAS TEEN USA 2015 will crown the winner.
The Preliminary Show and Competition will be held the prior evening, Saturday, November 28th, at 7:00 p.m. The Swimsuit and Photogenic award winners will be announced during the Preliminary Show. Albert Soliz and the newly crowned Miss Texas USA 2016 will host the show.
Contestants from all over the state will compete in interview, swimsuit and evening gown competitions. The winner will claim the title and a prize list which includes college scholarships, jewelry, travel, wardrobe, and the honor of representing the Lone Star State in the premiere pageant for teenagers - MISS TEEN USA®.
Tickets will go on sale in October.
The 2015 MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® pageant was held on Sunday afternoon, November 30th, at the Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel. Ninety-Three contestants from across Texas competed for a prize package that includes a four year college scholarship, jewelry, travel, wardrobe, and the honor of representing Texas next year in the premier national pageant for teenagers, MISS TEEN USA®.
The newly crowned Miss Texas Teen USA is eighteen year-old, green-eyed, brunette, Chloe Kembel, who was also selected as Most Photogenic. Chloe represented North Central Texas, and is a senior at Liberty Christian School. She currently has a 3.5 GPA and keeps herself busy with participating on the dance team and being involved numerous clubs and associations at school. Chloe hopes to attend Texas A&M University and get her degree in Broadcast Journalism. Upon graduation she would like to become an international field journalist covering stories across the globe. She says the opportunities she has had traveling on mission trips to Uganda, Guatemala, and El Salvador have opened her eyes to appreciate the different cultures, lifestyles, and languages. Chloe is the daughter of Keri and Robert Kembel of Arlington, Texas. She has two older brothers, Cole 23 and Will 19. This was Chloe’s first time in competing in a pageant...ever!
First runner-up is Miss Capital of Texas Teen USA, Allison Higginbotham, second runner-up is Miss Rio Grande Valley Teen USA, Cary Villarreal (who also tied for the Swimsuit award), third runner-up is Miss San Antonio Teen USA, Lanie McAlpin (who also tied for the Swimsuit award); and fourth runner-up is Miss Dallas Teen USA, Brenna Flynn.
Semifinalists are Miss Brazos Bend Teen USA, Dasha Brotherton; Miss Brazos County Teen USA, Ashley Harris; Miss Central Texas Teen USA, Danielle Foreman; Miss El Paso Teen USA, Tulasi Gopalan; Miss Fort Bend County Teen USA, Taylor Kessler; Miss Frisco Teen USA, Taylor Houston; Miss Harris County Teen USA, Mary Frances Nance; Miss Holman Valley Teen USA, Thekla McCarty; Miss Kemah Teen USA, Livia Lavender; Miss McAllen Teen USA, Victoria Hinojosa; Miss South Texas Teen USA, Yvonne Zerda; Miss Tomball Teen USA, Karlie Hay; and Miss Woodlands Teen USA, Sheridan Donevant. The Miss Congeniality Award went to Miss Nassau Bay Teen USA, Chandler Moire Foreman.
Albert Soliz and Miss Texas USA 2015, Ylianna Guerra, hosted the show. Miss Texas Teen USA 2014, Kellie Stewart was a special guest.
