In September 2015, over 100 outstanding young Texas women will travel to Houston, Texas to compete for the coveted title of Miss Texas USA® 2016 which is the official preliminary to MISS USA® and MISS UNIVERSE®. The prestigious Miss Texas USA pageant will take place at on Sunday, September 6, 2015, at the beautiful Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel located in uptown Houston, Texas.
The Preliminary Show and Competition will be held the prior evening Saturday night, September 5th. The Swimsuit and Photogenic award winners will be announced during the Preliminary Show. Additionally, Miss Congeniality will be announced during the Final Show.
Hosting the show will be Texas’ own Miss USA 2008, Crystle Stewart, and international model, Maxime Sebrechts. Ylianna Guerra, Miss Texas USA 2015, will crown her successor.
The 2016 Miss Texas USA winner will make personal appearances throughout her year and will receive a prize and gift package of cash, gold and diamond jewelry, travel, wardrobe, and much more.
The next Miss Texas USA will represent the state in the nationally televised, MISS USA pageant in the Spring of 2016. MISS USA then proceeds on to the ultimate of pageants, Miss Universe®.
Tickets will go on sale in August for the- Swimsuit preview Friday September 4th; Preliminary Competition on Saturday, September 5th; and Final Show on Sunday, September 6th, will be available on our website www.MissTexasUSA.com.

Houston, TX, September 1, 2014 – Ylianna Guerra was crowned MISS TEXAS USA 2015 on Sunday, August 31st, in a competition featuring 114 contestants from throughout Texas. Hailing from McAllen and representing Tropics of Texas in the pageant, the 21-year-old, 5’9” brunette beauty who also won the title for Miss Photogenic is currently a senior at The University of The Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, majoring in Communications, where she is on the Dean’s List and a member of the National Society of Leadership & Success!
In addition to representing the Great State of Texas in the 2015 MISS USA® pageant, Miss Guerra wins a prize package valued at approximately $100,000 and includes scholarships, travel, clothing, jewelry and much more. Hosting the show were newlyweds Miss USA 2008, Crystle Stewart, and international model, Max Sebrechts.
Miss South Texas, Alejandra Gonzales, was named first runner-up. Miss Lone Star, Brianna Webb; Miss Harris County, Logan Lester; and Miss Bay Area, Peyton Saverance; were selected as second through fourth runners-up, respectively.
The other contestants named to the top eighteen earlier in Sunday’s competition were Miss Austin, Melissa Novak; Miss Capital of Texas, Ciara Jasso; Miss Clear Lake, Alexandra Nini; Miss Dallas, Lauren Kennewell; Miss Deer Park, Danielle Bosley; Miss DFW, Christina Entsminger; Miss El Paso, Victoria Sinclair; Miss Fort Worth, Katie Sicula; Miss Helotes, Chaney Shadrock; Miss Houston Ligia De Uriarte; Miss Kemah, Kenda Carroll; Miss Longview, Andrea Fox; Miss Metroplex, Jordan Schultz. Miss Fiesta City, Taylor Harmon won the title of “Miss Congeniality”. Logan Lester, Miss Harris County, was chosen as the “Swimsuit Winner”.
